Apple plans to invest more in its Central Oregon facilities as the company spends more than $30 billion in the United States to create about 20,000 new jobs.

The Cupertino, Calif., computer giant announced Wednesday, Jan. 17, that it would "build on its commitment to support the American economy and its workforce," by investing billions in the nation. The company plans to spend more than $10 billion on its data centers and co-location facilities in Oregon, North Carolina, Nevada, Arizona and Iowa. Apple broke ground Wednesday on a new facility in downtown Reno, which will support existing Nevada facilities.
