PORTLAND, Ore. -- Iran's attack against Israel over the weekend has increased tensions in the Middle East "kept crude oil prices above $85 a barrel," according to a news release from the American Automobile Association. This has caused gas prices to increase across the U.S. -- including in Oregon.
According to the release, Oregon's average gas price is $4.44 a gallon -- an increase of three cents from the previous week.Â
"Since many of the Iranian missiles and drones missed their targets and a response from Israel is expected to be limited, fears of a wider conflict have eased for now," Marie Dodds, the public affairs director for AAA Oregon/Idaho, said in a news release. "However, tensions could easily increase depending on what happens next."Â
The national average rose three cents as well and is now sitting at $3.64 per gallon, the release said. California's is sitting at a whopping $5.46 per gallon -- the most expensive in the U.S.Â
