Nathan Vasquez leads in matchup against Multnomah County DA Mike Schmidt, poll finds

Challenger Nathan Vasquez leads incumbent Mike Schmidt in the race for Multnomah County district attorney, according to a new poll commissioned by The Oregonian/OregonLive.

Vasquez holds a significant edge because the sizable share of voters who say crime and drug use are the most pressing issues facing the Portland area overwhelmingly favor the longtime Multnomah County prosecutor, the poll found.
